I checked out PC Richard, Circuit City and Sound Effects.
Sound Effects has the Cliffored Matrix 1 for about $300 - $325 for my car, whereas CC has the Viper 350 for $229 + $45 + ? for about $299 installed.

Circuit City can do it tomorrow.
Sound Effects can't do until next Tuesday.

I am off this week.
Based on that, I will go with CC, since it is more convenient for me to do it this week while I am off, plus the car will be protected one week sooner...

Any last minute suggestions?

I made the appointment with Circuit City.

I hope it doesn't void any of my car warranty...
Someone mentioned that on another forum.

EDIT:
I found the following on the alarm manufacturer's web site regarding the car manufacturer's warranty being voided or not:

No. Under the terms of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, no new car warranty can be instantly voided simply by the addition of any aftermarket (non-factory) product, including vehicle security products. However, if the added device is of poor quality, or is installed incorrectly, issues of warranty can be brought into play. Your best choice here is to always have any DEI system installed by a professional authorized DEI dealer.

Thanks!
I may contact the dealer prior to installation, just to be extra sure that the electrical portion of the 4 year warranty won't be voided by the aftermarket alarm installation, despite what the Magnuson-Moss act says...

I haven't had a car stereo installed, but where is Sound Effects? It sounds like some place on 10 or 46. Aren't there other places on 10 or 46, specifically 46? Don't make me get the phone book. :P

TheWizard:
The one I went to was on Route 17 North.

I am in the snow belt of NJ ;)

We really got hammered this weekend, considering that winter doesn't start for 2 weeks.

I'm in the snow belt of NJ too. Everytime I hear the weatherman say "North and West of The City" I listen. :)
