OCEANSIDE, Calif., Dec 12, 2003 /PRNewswire/ -- GENICA CORPORATION, a leading distributor of computer components, peripherals and accessories, today announced the company's acquisition of the principal assets of optical storage innovator CenDyne, Inc. The acquisition includes finished goods inventory, consignment inventory, raw materials, partner relationships and intellectual property, including the CenDyne name, associated trademarks, copyrights, and domain names.

Damn, I missed that.

Genica Corp owns compgeeks.com. Expect to see lots of CenDyne drives on there soon.

Well, you can buy the name, but the hard working people that created and maintained the company, and supported its customers, aren't in any way involved. They hired one CenDyne guy to maintain the webpage for the transition, but axed him once things were migrated, so I wouldn't expect much from them in the near future
