Hope Ian doesn't ban me because of this post

21 ways to REALLY enjoy "Lord of the Ring, The Return of the King"
Plus one bonus way!

1. Stand up halfway through the movie and yell loudly, "Wait...where the hell is Harry Potter?"

2. Block the entrance to the theater while screaming, "YOU.....SHALL....NOT..... PASS!" - After the movie, say "Lucas could have done it better."

3. Play a drinking game where you have to take a sip every time someone says, "the Ring."

4. Point and laugh whenever someone dies.

5. Ask everyone around you if they think Gandalf went to Hogwarts.

6. Finish off every one of Elrond's lines with "Mis..ter Ander-sonnn."

7. When Aragorn is crowned king, stand up and at the top of your lungs sing, "And I did it.... MY way...!"

8. Talk like Gollum all through the movie. At the end, bite off someone's finger and fall down the stairs.

9. Dress up as old ladies and reenact "The Battle of Helms Deep," Monty Python style.

10. When Denethor lights the fire, shout "Barbecue!"

11. In TTT when the Ents decide to march to war, stand up and shout, "RUN FOREST, RUN!"

12. Every time someone kills an Orc, yell: "That's what I'm Tolkien about!" See how long it takes before you get kicked out of the theatre.

13. During a wide shot of a battle, inquire, "Where's Waldo?"

14. Talk loudly about how you heard that there is a single frame of a nude Elf hidden somewhere in the movie.

15. Start an Orc sing-a-long.

16. Come to the premiere dressed as Frankenfurter and wander around looking terribly confused.

17 When they go in the paths of the dead, wait for a tense moment and shout, "I see dead people!"

18. Imitate what you think a conversation between Gollum, Dobby and Yoda would be like.

19. Release a jar of daddy-long-legs into the theater during the Shelob scene.

20. Wonder out loud if Aragorn is going to run for governor of California.

21. When Shelob comes on, exclaim, "Man!Charlotte's really let herself go!"
BONUS: Best way to enjoy any Lord of the Rings movie: DONT GO!

Yup, me too...and for the new Star Wars movie whenever it comes out.
The orginals ruled...the new ones...well, they suck. I got dragged to the two new ones by friends...after the first one I told him I was skipping the next two. So when it came out he didn't bother telling me WHAT movie we were going to see...and I didn't know the stupid thing was out.

That ain't happen next time!

I reckon the reason a lot of people don't like the new star wars movies is the fact that when the 1st three came out, they were kids. The old movies were kid's movies and they were kids too, so of course they liked them. Now they're grown up and look back fondly on the old movies. With the new movies though, of course they're not going to identify with them anymore, because they're adults and the new movies are still kid's movies. People have just grown out of the target audience. I bet the average kindergarten or elementary school child loves the new star wars and Jaja Binks!

This is the funniest. My college buds and I used to joke about this all the time.

BurninMan921, You should've given a spoiler warning, lot of spoilers in your post.

Cheers.

BurninMan921, that was really funny! LMAO

No problem Burnin, in fact it's funny! Thanks for the post.
Suggestion: Even if you are not a movie fan, I recommend the movie. Tolkien is considered as the father of modern day fantasy.

True, it's not news for anyone who has read the book already. Btw, when I read it initially, I skipped (glanced through) until after Tom Bombadill chapter. I wonder whether anybody else did that?

No, Empire was definitely no kids movie. Jedi surely was though, and I never really cared much for it. One word.... Ewoks.

The reason I don't like the new ones is because they suck ;)
There's lots of fluff that should have been cut out, too many muppets. Lucas has turned into Ed Wood.

There is some truth to it but I think we should go easy on Lucas. When everyone else was sticking to Green Skinned, oval faced, big eyed creatures, at least he went out and exapanded our imagination about Aliens.

Hey don't blame the Ewoks, they are on our side!

But... but.....

The Ewoks were supposed to be Wookies. But Lucas wussed out and made em all cute little ewoks.
