Ha ha! I love anything that hurts the RIAA.

Don't get me wrong: I don't download music-I've got all the CD's I want - but they just go to far.

I get my music at Wal*Mart for 88 cents per. As with all other market segments, Wal*Mart pricing will drive all other legal, pay by song download sites into oblivion.

Interesting; what format does Wal-Mart use for the song downloads?

*.wma, the same as most of these pay per song services. However, Wal*Mart allows a maximum of 10 burns per playlist where some of the others are less. For example, MusicMatch allows 5 burns per playlist.

Ah, that's one thing I like better about iTunes; there's no limitation on how many times you can burn each song. :)

Bah, WMA format. Microsoft format.

iTunes is a TON better for just .11 more per song.

yeah, I hate .wma and .wmv formats, and will not use them simply because they are Microsoft, and if people use them, the it will give Microsoft too much power. .mp3 and .avi don't have all the options for limiting access to them either, which I know will become more and more prevailent if microsoft's formats gain too much popularity!

Hi guys,
I have compared MP3 and WMA format and found that the WMA format is smaller and offers more clarity than it's MP3 counterpart.
I still havent encoded my collection to the WMA format as I havent got a WMA copatible standalone player, but I am sure that if I convert my collection to WMA,I would reagin about 1 GB of my HDD space.
See ya guys later,

Quality. If you want quality, you need to go to Target, which is yet another Minnesotan company.

We contribute only the finest all around, Target, Best Buy, Northwest Airlines, Marshall Fields (formerly Daytons) and for anyone else living in the Twin Cities, we have one of the finest purveyors of food in the country, Byerly's.

You forgot to tell 'em about Bridgeman's Ice Cream. It's up the street from Dayton's on Hennepin. Don't forget to tell 'em about the Minnesota state bird: The Mosquito!
