...but my favorite band is The Smashing Pumpkins. and i have a huge collection of SP stuff. Anyways since Christmas, and going to Disneyland with Jennifer and my car needing to have new tires I was forced to get a Credit Card. I got one of those sweet deals, the don't pay interest for 3 months and then we charge 341234123412% interest because we know we can sucker you to buy more then you can pay for deals! Well anyways my 3 months are almost up so i needed to pay it off.. Sadly cash flow hurts because my parents who have my car in their name and the loan as well are taking my normal job (as a front desk super dude) pay check and putting it to that. I mean that is good, but 1000 a month bytes!

So I had to sell some SP stuff. and well i was AMAZED how much they went for over market value. Please Celebrate with me! thanks a ton

Congratulations Monte!
Wow indeed!
I noticed that the same person won both auctions.

The strange thing is that he has the two highest bids for one auction
and the three highest bids for the other auctions, but his two highest bids for one and three highest bids for the other auction are for the SAME monetary amount.
Why is that?
I understand that earlier bids from different bidders for the same amount come first, but this is the SAME bidder.
I thought it could be that two different people bid the same amount as the high bidder, but later than him, but the amounts would have to be identical
for the winnind bidder's maximum bid to be one increment higher in BOTH
cases.

I hope I haven't lost anyone with that; it probably sounds more complicated than it is...

I have some old LPs.
Maybe I should see what they do for online.

Star Wars complete sets of trading cards from 1977 collect less
than SP records...

The Marked was were he had to start I guess, good or bad.I have the early demos also and it's an interesting listen. Not perfect that's for sure.It sure must have been a clean album to rip 'cause Honey Spider II is crystal clear.I've cleaned up a few albums on my pc with CoolEdit and very few were in good shape to rip.Do you have "Drown"?(italian bootleg)

I had some wacky neighbor in college that was a total SP freak. The ONLY music he listened to was SP. Needless to say, this has ruined my outlook on the band.

Have most of their "unauthorized" bootleg concerts but sound quality isn't always great. That's why commercial bootlegs do better. There is a site out there that has most of there live concerts for d'load(free).Went to lollapalooza 94 and saw them but that show isn't available.I'm waiting for some surprise unreleased stuff but I don't hold my hopes up.Zwan just doesn't fill the void.

Yeah, that was the year that Boone lived with me for a semester. That was the closest I ever came to being evicted. The SP freak would call the landlord anytime he would hear a noise from upstairs (our apartment). To be honest, we really weren't that loud. It was an old place.. you heard stuff through the walls. I eventually started calling the landlord whenever he'd play his SP music. That shut him up.

Great story!
I can imagine how you felt. I would go stir crazy too after a while... :)

Some guy on the train this afternoon was talking (I should say shouting) VERY loudly on his cell phone; luckily the call was relatively short.
I sometimes wonder if these people realize how loud they are shouting into the phone.

There is a great ad campaign (posters are displayed in trains) from one of the cellular companies.
One of the ads says:
"If you love your cell phone so much why are you shouting at it?"

Another says something like:
"Show people how cool your vibrating (i.e. silent) alert on your cell phone is."

Even if only some cell phone users realize they have been shouting after reading the ads, it is worth it!

They have at least one more, but I can't remember it.
