Microsoft apparently has decided to support Windows 98, 98SE, and Me through June 30, 2006! I guess those of us who still use those OSs will still be able to get security patches for a while. :)

That sucks. That means people will still be running old, crappy OS's at work.

I don't know, that's crazy.

They keep supporting 98 and ME, two OSs which I have found to be fundamentally unstable over time, and yet they have axed support of Windows NT, which despite being old, grew into one of the most rock-solid systems MS has ever written.

Meh. Folk should be using Linux anyways :D

By which you mean they're running a Microsoft OS, not Linux, right?

There are plenty running old, unpatched versions of Linux as well.

Now I can keep 98 patched for a while longer.
