Need to RMA a part...but where...Corsair or newegg

Anyways, just copying and pasting from a post at another site.

I have the 256MBx2 PC3200 2-3-2 RAM and it isn't working up to specs. I bought it at newegg, the TWINX512-3200LLPT.

Whenever I set it up to work at 2-3-2 timings in my BIOS, it is incredibly unstable, in fact, Windows won't even start, it just crashes on load, I then have to go back to the defaults.

On MemTest86:
At 68% on Test 4, it freezes up. That's 56% pass. I take it it's a lemon.

So who is going to be faster, Corsair or newegg when it comes to replacement RMA? Assuming it gets there in 4 days ground to either place (may have to upgrade it though) So from the time that UPS drops it off at thier shipping/recieving dock to the time it comes to my door. Both use 3 day service by the looks of it.

I never dealt with either, but I have read Newegg has a hassle-free (and quick) RMA service. I would try Newegg first.

Did you need original packaging? I don't have that...

Major name memory companies are usually pretty good on RMA. I'd go through Corsair. If your RAM is older than 30 days, you'd have to go through them anyway, as Newegg's RMA period is understandably limited as opposed to Corsair's lifetime warranty.

I got it all worked out. Newegg said they don't need the original packaging for a replacement RMA, so I filled out the form, got my number, and will send it out via UPS Blue today if I get the chance, otherwise I'll do it tomorrow. Corsair is too slow even getting back to my question of if I can even get an RMA, yet alone my RMA number. Thanks for all the help.
