This has been said to be my best video that I have ever shown any of you. I will most likely show you just some of my best work soon.

(Ian please see your PM box)

~5MB
2:43

the message at the start of the video is for Jennifer (of course)

Not bad, not bad at all. I think I figured out how you got into two accidents within the past year: too much strumming your air guitar and not enough time with your hands on the wheel. :D

Yeah, that is your best so far. Can you explain a little more about the message in the beginning?

can someone help me with this really weird problem?

i'm trying to view the video.
same thing happened with the previous one
http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16019
but not with the ones before! only these 2 (so far :x )

if i click on the link (to view the file directly, without downloading it first) Window Media Player opens and after a few (12?) seconds i get a popup window with "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close." and it shuts down.

if i download it first to a folder on my hard drive, as soon as i left-click on it (highlight it) i got a popup window that says "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

i can only delete the file by using a command prompt.

WTF???

the song says " if this is goodbye to you and me, what a good friend you've been to me."
I typically for myself when a relationship ends, I end the friendship at the same time, so that I don't hurt. And I had told her that. So if we were to stop dating I would say goodbye, that is the end of us..

So to inform her that this song doesn't have to do with that part of goodbye. But just simply that she has been such a good friend to me

Dunno, your Windoze is fux0red maybe? :P Are you able to play other WMV's from your hard drive?

Sometimes streaming the video (i.e. just clicking on it in IE and letting Windows Media Player open it, buffer it, and play it) doesn't always work so well, but there should be no reason why Windows Media Player cannot play the WMV as a file on your hard drive. Have you tried any other media players?

no, windowz media player 8.
does it matter?

don't have another .wmv file. :o

what other player can i use to view such a .wmv file?

i installed winamp 2.8 but it doesn't seem to recoginze the file, i don't know if it's this particular file or it's not supposed to.
foobar2000 is audio only.

installed BSPlayer, but i only get soundtrack, no video!

yeah, it's possibly my windowz is fucked up.

maybe in need to install some kind of codec?
i know nothing about this shit.
by like i said, i've seen videos before on this computer!
maybe having installed foobar2000 messed sthng up?

I'd suggest you upgrade to WM9. I think it has some new codecs.

it might, because my encoder in Premier, said their was a WMP8 and a WMP9 encoder.

the past videos I have shown on this board before the resent ones, were all in mpg
So that is why you most likely had no problems.
mpg is just too big for something like this

doesn't it have some burning stuff built into it that messes things up?
with InCD as i recall?

how do i go about updating it?
windows update?
or just a MS download site?
sthg like http:$$www.$MS$.$windows$media$player$9$.com$$$ ?

You can download WMP 9 codecs that will work with WMP 8.

downloaded this:

Codecs Installation Package for Windows Media Player 7.0 and Windows Media Player for Windows XP

executed it, still no help (OK haven't rebooted yet..maybe need to ?)

i now recall that something like this was also done during installation of foobar2000, it directed me to download some MS stuff, might have been this thing exactly? dunno.

oh well.

thanks for the help guys.

I think you should do a third one and name them:

The Monte
The Monte: Reloaded
The Monte: Revolutions

or

A New Monte
The Mormon's Strike Back
Return of the Jenny
