I don't know why everyone gangs up on episode 2. Sure, Episode 1 sucked, but Episode 2 IMO completely made up for Episode 1's badness. I'm not saying Episode 2 was as good as the originals, but I think it deserves a little more prase than people give it. Anyways, once again I will be lined up 8 hours early to get in on the first midnight showing

No kidding. The one thing I didn't like about EP2 was Hayden. I know the chicks love him, but he's a horrible actor. He's almost as bad as the kid who played Anakin in EP1.

TheWizard, she's not fat. Just big boned or something.

Not looking forward to EP3. EP1 was crap. EP2 was crap. Lucas is a moron. Natalie is one hot jew. Hayden sucked in EP2 but rocked in Life As a House.

I've never seen the movie, but I can't imagine him beeing a good actor in anything unless he played a semi-retarded person that didn't talk much.

He did play an angst ridden goth kid.

Wasn't Hayden the spoiled son of the Green Goblin in "Spiderman"? He does okay as long as the part requires being pouty, bratty, and stubborn. ;)

Not all that eager about EP3; EP2 almost shattered the time-space continuum with its sheer mediocrity, and there is no woman in the world that would fall for a guy who acted like the brat Hayden played in that movie. I blame Lucas for that one, who could have done a much better job.

P.S. Shrek 2 rocked. Go see it. Now.

Nope, that was James Franco who played a snotty, shallow high school football player in "Whatever it Takes" with uberhottie Marla Sokoloff who played the receptionist Lucy on "The Practice" and Jodi Lynn O'Keefe who has the face of a gorilla but an absurd body.

I'm still looking forward to Episode III. I thought Episode I was the worst thing to ever happen to Star Wars. Episode II was *MUCH* better then Episode I, but still not as good as IV, V, or VI. However, I thought Hayden did a great job of portraying Anakin Skywalker, he was moody, tempermental, and off balance... exactly what I expected from a Jedi moving from the light to the dark side. The only problem I had was Senator Amidala falling for him when he was being an utter jerk the whole time... it didn't make any sense! The best part of Episode II, and I think most people agree with me, was Yoda. Mace Windu was a close second though!

Episode III will be good if only because of watching the Jedi council being obliterated!

A good portion of them will already be gone before the movie starts. Lucas is killing them off left and right in the Clone Wars stories in the books and comics.

Do a google on General Grievous. You'll find one bad ass Jedi killing machine.

The reason I have complaints on Episode 2 is that no woman in her right mind would have gotten involved with the whiny, arrogant, brat with anger management problems that Anakin Skywalker was. No relationship = no Luke and Leia. George Lucas could have done a lot better job at that if he had a little more understanding of love and emotions. It really hurt the film.

don't you guys think you're expecting a little too much?

alas the star wars films have become a conveyor for selling little action figures, toys and video games. the target audience is of average age of 14 at best.

granted, i was younger than that when i first saw start wars (ep. 4) when it first came out, and my film critique has changed since. but the movies haven't really changed all that much.

Anakin & Amidala? what's the difference between that and Han & Leia ? none whatsoever.

if you're looking for a "real", "mature" relationship between a man and a woman, Star Wars isn't the place to look.

Sadly.. that's true... at least for EP1 and EP2. Star Wars used to be for all ages. The original movies did not cater to kids (believe it or not.. toys were an afterthought for A New Hope) and it appealed to everyone.

As far as Anakin & Amidala vs Han & Leia... their relationships are very different. Han is older and is more of a rogue. A sarcastic, ladies man. He and Leia start off hating each other and fall in love. He's not a childish, whiny brat like Anakin, who's obsessed with Amidala in an almost creepy way.

Natalie is hot.
She almost looks like a young version of Liz Hurley in some of her photos.

When I saw the title of the thread, before reading the post of course, I thought the title was referring to your baby...
