I have a vintage pair of Jordans coming in any day now. :D

Hey Slim, how long do your boots usually last you?

It's indefinite - like forever just wearing them around and not for the work that they were intended for.

$305?!?! Preposterous!

In what context, Wizard? Too much? Too little?

Look to the left, those are $424.

If you think that it's too much, it isn't for top quality, semi-custom, hand made in the US of A boots. It's actually quite reasonable.

I've spend $300 on a pair of sneakers before, so that price is not that outrageous.

Bah, that's nothing, once I bought a pair of boots with a pair of shoes on an online shoe store, they delivered here by DHL but taxes killed me, boots are from Brazil so tax for the boots were 30% of the cost, then shoes are from china so taxes were 700% cost  because there is no comercial treaty with china yet, but they dindn't stop there, they added a tax to the delivery fee also, not a cheap one by change, so I payed a lot, but hell I got my boots :D and I learned not to import china things.

BuddhaTB, I thought of mentioning your sneakers in relation to my boots as being about 1/3. Never dreamt they'd be the same. Wow, and I played tennis tonight in my new New Balance which were $34, canvas/nylon uppers.

Alejandra, what's up with the China deal? You have Wal*Mart now in Mexico. Most of the stuff in our Wal*Marts is from China. Maybe the Mexican Wal*Marts know how to get around the "impuestos de importacion"? Buenas Noches.

When I ask to customs agents they say the tax is higher because there is a penalty pay to compesate the amount of imports from there and because they are very cheap, so the economy may suffer if taxes were lower. Also we are invaded of China ilegal imports of any kind, when I bought the shoes I did'nt know that, now if I buy anything I ask the origig first.

Yeah Wal*Mart (also Sams club, Costco, etc) has china shoes and other things, but they haven't my size, sometimes they have, I'm a taller/bigger for the average, incredible is that I found shoes of my size made in Mexico but in the U.S. and other countries, they export them but they don't sell them here, sometimes I find my size from Brazil, Spain etc. The largest size of women shoes here is size 10 (US), rare ocations they have 11 and my rage is that our shoes are of very good quallity and China's don't
