Just received my first blockbuster online rentals:

http://beta.blockbuster.com/homepages/L ... age.action

Blockbuster Online 3 at a time - $19.99 plus applicable tax

Blockbuster Online 5 at a time - $29.99 plus applicable tax

Blockbuster Online 8 at a time - $39.99 plus applicable tax

So far me and aviationwiz know that there is a distro center in Denver and Minneapolis. Also on the envelopes has Dallas TX as there main location, so thats probably another distro center

also every month you get 2 free rentals from the blockbuster store (brick and morter)

It would be nice if others from around the country joined, so we can figure out where there are distro centers. ;)

I got my first 2 so far. Looks promising.

I see you are fascinated by geographical locations, like myself. I recommend a career in such a field. I have yet to land a job in this field, although I do have a B.A. in Geography. Perhaps you might consider getting one too. :)

I'm almost half-way though my first FREE month with the beta BB site. While I get my rentals shipped from Seattle, WA (I live in the middle of Oregon), it takes 3 days (i.e. shipped monday, gets here thursday) for them to get to me. Not cool since its usually next day delivery from netflix. The thing that makes me angry is that they will ship the day AFTER they get my DVDs. Bastards! I do like their extensive selection though, finally getting my DBZ collection going ;)

Free month? how? I'm only getting 2 weeks free.

I forgot the code, but somewere on FatWallet I found this thread on where if you use this code for registering for the first time, you get a month free instead of two weeks. Thankfully it works.

Ah crap. Oh well, Netflix has a better service anyway.

I've tried Netflix and Walmart.
Netflix lies about availability if you are a "power user", and denies you new releases. This can be overcome by closing your account and opening a new one. Netflix certainly has the fastest service, and by far the deepest selection.

Walmart is cheap, they process returns on Saturday also, but their distribution is slow and the selection is very shallow. If you live in the east, service might be better. I'll be going back to Netflix when my Wal-Mart trial is over.

At that, not even a mention of the url, as you can see, I told em' to go over to fatwallet for the url and a promo code (BBEMPLOYEE, or COOPER)

There's also a Blockbuster distribution center in Flushing, New York.

Another promo code for Blockbuster is BBFILMCADDY.

To sum it up, the Distribution Centers we know of so far are:

Minneapolis, MN
Denver, CO
Dallas, TX
Seattle, WA
Sacramento, CA
Flushing, NY

So we got 60% of thier distribution centers tracked down (they have 10) but now where are the other 4?

There has to be one in the Southeast (Georgia? Florida?) and probably farther north, but still in the South; around the DC area.

I'd say Atlanta, & DC are both good possibilities. Chicago is also likely.

I wonder how long it will be before we get this up North ?

I'd like to get the Muppet movies and shows. Even Amazon lists them as 2 or 3 week delivery time to buy them. My local Blockbuster doesn't have a single Muppet movie or show.

Here's the full list:

Charlotte, NC
Dallas, TX
Denver, CO
Lansing, MI
Miami, FL
Minneapolis, MN
Flushing, NY
Sacramento, CA
Santa Ana, CA
Seattle, WA

I what kind of city you're living? I saw no Muppet Shows in the Blockbusters I visited here, but the movies are there.

What I was thinking, moving to Canada some day...
