I want to go on record as saying that Ichiro is the most interesting thing going on in baseball right now.

I have been a fan since his rookie season - watching him face ALL new pitchers and play that well is insiring. When changing leagues it is hards to face new pitching, now imagine changing continents!

He tied George Sisler and may break the single season hit record tonight.

Ichiro has set the single season hit mark at 262, with 2 more hits on the last day of the regular season. It is a truely amazing feat and there should be more publicity surrounding it.

On another note, BOTH the Angels and Dodgers made the playoffs!!!
I'm gonna be cheering for both of them and hope for an All LA World Series!! :D

My Cubbies are a HUGE disappointment.

They folded like they worse than a newspaper.

Wait till next year........

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Anaheim a separate city than LA? :P

If memory serves, the only Major League teams that can have a true single city World Series would be the Yankees/Mets and White Sox/Cubs.

On topic: Yes, Ichiro's feat is VERY impressive, and I think it should achieve more publicity too! It makes one wonder why he isn't getting as much press as...say...Barry Bonds. :-k
