I was watching SNL the other night and at first I was like wtf? I had a good laugh once I realized she screwed up her lip syncing. Serves her right.

They get paid enough that they should at least sing and not lip synch.
I know Ashlee is not alone in doing this, but lip synching is just not right.

They had a story in the paper about it, which mentioned Milli Vanilli returning their grammy when it was uncovered they didn't sing a word on their entire album.
That one will remain a memory in many people's minds for a long time to come.

The remix at the above link is funnier. Watching Ashlee dance to Yakety Sax...hilarious!

It could be worse.

You could have paid $ to see her 'concert' of lip sync-ing...

It all started going downhill when dance became a part of the music video's back in the 80's.

Now we call them 'artists' and not musicians. Many of them play no instruments at all...but they can sing (in the studio at least).

I doubt that Boy George or Adam Ant ever lip sync'd.

She had good reason to lip-sync. She has a severe case of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease).

If you don't know what that is then I would suggest you do a search and learn more about it. If you don't suffer from this debiliating condition that you have NO idea what it is like especially if you are a singer or performer.

There have been other singers that at one point in time that had a hoarse voice. But as they "the show must go on."

I suffer from CSFTLOM (Can't Sing For The Life Of Me) disease. Is it okay if I lip sync too?

Sorry.. I don't buy that excuse. Like many other performers, she lip syncs. The difference? She got caught.

Anyone know if she actually sang at the music awards earlier this week? It was pretty obvious some of the performers were lip syncing. Tim McGraw wasn't though. =D>

I read that on her home page too, that she was suffering from bad acid reflux the night of the performance. I don't buy it either. I don't suffer from acid reflux disease, but I know what it feels like to be debilitated from another illness. That being said, there is no way in hell I would do a "hoe-down" if my illness was acting up. Let's face it, she is a fraud.
