Disguise yourselves as Canadians, EH!

That's a link to a CNN article about how to disguise yourselves as a Canadian.

Now I've seen it all. [-X

When I was in Rome in 1984, I watched two US Air Force guys get the sh*t kicked out of them in a bar fight. They deserved it after the way they were acting. The locals tried to fight me too (assumed I was American) until I got out the Canuk passport. By the end of the night, they (the locals) were buying our table drinks.

Rule #1 when travelling abroad: leave the ego at home, wherever you are from. No one likes a rude traveller.

Happens to all nationalities. Can't tell you how many times I've seen tourists get the crap kicked out themselves for being arrogant.

Haven't seen any of it myself, although I have seen some hotel staff being incredibly unhelpful to some US tourists who were doing the old "I'm an American citizen" routine (I had thought that this only happened in movies, but it seems there are some arrogant fools who think this'll get them their way) and so the staff were working to the letter of the rules laid out and refusing to bend an inch to accommodate. Quite amusing actually, if a little cruel :)

Tell me, taz, how many times have you seen tourists get the crap kicked out themselves for being arrogant. You make it sound rampant like where you live is one giant angry drunken bar disguised as a nation.
