Some of us are waiting for Xmas so we can be "surprised" when we open the gift that the wife has been hiding for a few weeks in the closet...then the HL2 adventure can really begin :)

I have finished Doom3, every Battlefield title, Medal of Honor series, Call of Duty, etc etc...and the wait for HL2 is killing me :)

Then I began thinking about a title that should have come out for Xmas 8 years ago...and we are still waiting. Take a look at the link, if you're old enough to remember Duke Nuk'em...and reminisce about what could have been...LOL

Hail to the king, baby!

Before parents complained about games like GTA.. there was Duke Nukem. I wish more FPS let you stick money in the gstrings of strippers. :D You remember that ninja game 3D Realms did about that same time? Talk about offensive.

I'm currently playing HL2. Probably one of the best games I've played since... well the original HL.

I gave up on the Battlefront games. The later patches made BFV so unplayable it wasn't even funny.

Yeah, "Shadow Warrior". Of course, some of the humor was extremely childish too. They managed to tick off anyone of Asian descent AND women at the same time. Oh, and anyone who took martial arts seriously. Heck, they named the hero "Lo Wang" for Pete's sake.

Since it was based on the Duke3D engine, it got old really quickly and 3DRealms didn't get a lot of sales from it. It was in the bargain bin inside of two months of release if I remember correctly. It had a few funny moments and the first level was decent, but that was about it...and Duke had much more going for it on the multiplayer front, so it lasted longer. Can you say "laser trip mines", "shrink ray" and "freeze gun"? :)
