Well that's it. The Brit car industry pretty much ends here. MG Rover went bust earlier tonight

It could never really compete in the modern climate, but this is a shame nevertheless

Damn.I thought they could have competed, really sad to see them go. Will the Government aid have any effect on them, positive or otherwise?

Sorry to hear that.
One of my family's former neighbors, years ago, had a Rover 3500.
Back then it was a sharp-looking and well appointed car.
I couldn't find any pictures that do it justice...

Yeah, considering that car was designed around 1976 it still hasn't dated that badly today.

Yes, for a 30 year old car, it doesn't look bad at all.
I used to love some of the Lancia's back in the day.
Think the beta was one.

those are the coupe versions of the Lancia Beta, not the family sedan model.
yeah, Lancia made lovely cars in it's time.
too bad about Rover.
