I quit work this morning when the sheriffs told me about it. I just left his house 5 hours earlier. Him and his wife werent acting normal at all. She shot him in the chest with a 44 mag. They are both in there early sixtys and own the local gunstore. Harold helped raise me growng up and taught me my gunsmithing knowledge to get my certification. Excellent man retired police officer. I havent ever been this cracked up feeling in a long while. I dont even care why this happened yet just hurts too damn bad stil to care why. Harold you will be missed severly.

The update currently is Lois his wife is being charged with manslaughter. He was told a few days ago he didnt have much time left ie a few weeks. He was in the hospital for heart problems last week. He got home Wednesday and expected his son to come see him Saturday for the last time. His son didnt show up and went out to party instead and it tore him down pretty bad. He was crying on my shoulder that night about how that was the worst pain he had ever felt. Lois is claiming that he took 3 or 4 times his normal dose of xanax and oxycontin and stated acting crazy. He always had a revolver with him in his house at all times. Usually his S&W 44 "dirty harry" his favorite plinking gun. Anyway she heard him cock it walking in the bedroom yelling bad things so she shot him thinking he was about to shoot her. Autopsy is currently being done to validate this but the prosecutor is pushing manslaughter instead of murder now.
