Yeah, I'm headed for South Africa, and I'm taking the new flight via IAD this time since it has the B744 on it, whereas JFK has the A342, and ATL the A346.

Hey, Wiz, I don't care what flight you take. Which pair of boots are you wearing? [-X

It feels good not to be an excluded jerk, anymore...

I'm not going to lunch with that jerk, Veff.

As a homeowner of 38 years, he would drive me nuts with questions like:
How do I fix a leaky roof?
How do I fix shorting electrical wires?
How do I fix a broken window?
How do I fix a sticking door?
How do I fix a furnace that doesn't turn off?
How do I fix an air conditioner that doesn't start up?
etc.
etc.
.
.
.

LOL.
Who said I wanted to go to lunch with YOU? ;)

By the way, you forgot a bunch of threads...
Seriously though, in the last 6 months at least, I think I have posted only about the chimney / roof leak (with respect to the house).
Oops I forgot I asked about installing a new door.
Speaking of rain, it has been raining all morning, so here we go again. ;) Expect more replies to that infamous thread.
All kidding aside, for a few seconds, I guess I respect the opinions of those who know more about it than a first time jerky homeowner like myself.

I'll see you at the OK Corral at sundown for a showdown.

Sincerely,
Annoying, dripping wet, boring, jerky (couldn't forget to include that one) VEFF.

PS1: I won't hold it against you if you choose not to read my chimney / roof leak thread.

PS2: I'm off to cry now that my delicate sensibilities have been hurt.

PS3: Thanks for the laugh. I know how to laugh at myself (like everyone else is doing right now).
Honestly, I has been waiting for someone to give me a hard time (in jest perhaps, or not) about my HO threads.

Well, I am off to play poker (no money tournament for a chance to play on TV against celebs). Wish me luck! (I doubt I'll win, but it is fun).

I thought you might be. I hope you have a good time.

Are you a Boeing guy, or are there other reasons for your choice of plane?

Thanks! I'm pretty open in regards to aircraft type, but in general, I am a Boeing guy. I chose the B744 because the layout that SAA has is great. PTV's in every seat, and increased seat pitch and side storage bins on the upper deck (where I'll be.) On the other hand, SAA's A342's and A346's have a horrible seating layout, where it is quite cramped, plus, if you have a window seat (like I almost always have) there is an IFE box underneath the seat in front of you that cuts down on leg or storage room.

The ones mistakenly delivered to me by the Pony Express.

10-4, Wiz, have a great trip! You are on the right plane. Can you FedEx my boots back from South Africa?

10-4, Veff, I had a roof leak during a real bad storm several years after I had the house totally reroofed. Called those guys and they came back out and fixed it. Fix has been good for a dozen years now. So I am clueless about roof repair and can't help there, I call the roof guys. However, I do need to call the chimney and air duct cleaner guys before we really get into our heating season. I truly am quite SLIM, but I'm not going up that thing with a brush.

Veff, I just put Scott's Turfbuilder with the pre-emergence weed preventer on my lawn. That stuff really does work well!
