Wow, I thought the HDTV scene was getting wacked hard with this "protected content" shit, but this takes the whole cake. I've never, not ONCE, seen a LCD or CRT PC monitor with HDCP compliancy. How are those people going to feel when they plunk down $500-1000 on a brand new LCD only to find out Vista is going to force you down to low rez?

This is just going to force people who would otherwise buy their media content legitimately to pirate their media content.

terrible news :o

I hope third party software provides will make updates/workarounds to enable support in xp. I'm pretty sure my third party video card driver set turns on the HD capability mode.
