So I had an interesting experience going to see Doom last night. For those of you that don't know me, I am under 18...

So I go up to buy my ticket, and I get it, without a hitch. Then my friend (same age as me) goes up to get one, and they ask for ID.

Then we go outside, call some other friends that were really late, and then he gave me the money to buy his ticket. I go to another cashier, and again, they don't ask for ID when selling me the ticket.

Then when my other friends show up, one of them buys the tickets for all of them, and again, they didn't ask for ID.

Do they not even care anymore? It was just really odd...
They think it's the facial hair... could be.

Proper facial hair can do a lot! In grade 12 I was commonly mistaken for a teacher (even by OTHER teachers) since I was one of the only people in the school who could (and did) grow a full beard.

The theater I went to requires their employees to card everyone regardless of age for R movies. So my brother-in-law and I both were, and we're both over 30.

I think this is a good policy, it keeps it uniform. It wouldn't bother me to get carded for alcohol as a mandatory policy either (current law here says that those who look 27 or younger should be carded).
