SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) - A man is facing charges in what authorities say was a cactus attack on his girlfriend.
The woman suffered serious injuries when hit repeatedly with a cactus plant at their apartment Wednesday night, officials said. She told police the man got upset over some phone calls he had made and "went psycho."

Maybe it was this one:
This thing is called a "golden barrel" in English- but seeing the strong German presence in Wisconsin, maybe the German name inspired the guy: it's called a "Schwiegermutterstuhl" or
mother-in-law's chair.

My parents used to have a huge barrel cactus like that. When I was a kid, I fell of the couch and landed on it. Hurt like a mother. I think JamieW was over when that happened.

I had a small one like that too, suitemates gave it to me in college when they left for home back in California. I named it (wait for it) Spike.
I never killed it, but it stayed the same size until I gave it to my mother, and in what must have been an insult to me, it has now grown about a foot I think. I sure wouldn't want to sit on one...those spines are not only sharp, but they're quite rigid, so they'll sink in deep.

The cactus looks great in the pic.I just cant imagine Ian landing up on one of them......
Must have been a painful experience. And what happened to that cactus after that fall?Did it survive?
BTW,are you sure Ian that JamieW was not responsible for that fall?
