Who Bought An Xbox 360?

So, who went out and bought an Xbox 360 this morning? Did you camp out?

For those wondering, I didn't buy one. Now if they would have had a Transformers or Star Wars game at the time of the Xbox 360 launch, I might have.

Heck, I must be old school...I've only just become interested in a Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP to replace my original Gameboy, mainly because I'm hoping the screen improvement will make my old games look a lot better (and so I can buy used current and older retro games via Ebay).

XBox360 is out of my price range.

No XBox 360 for me... no interest. I'll wait until the PS3 comes out before I buy another system (and probably wait for the first price drop on it too!).

I just want a BluRay player

Not I.

I saw one of the Deluxe packages selling for $899.99 CDN online here today (Futureshop.com).

I can't find $500 to upgrade the old P3 1ghz computer, let alone an XBox 360. But the graphics look excellent.

Here's a report from the Twin Cities.

The Richfield Best Buy (number 5 store in terms of stock) had around 100 people in line at about 5:30PM, this was a midnight store.

One of the St. Louis Park Target's were supposedly all sold out by 4AM (had to be in line by then, they open at 8AM.)

Ridgedale Target (I think), my friend showed up at 7AM and got one (they opened at 8AM.)

Another friend of mine pre-ordered his too late from Gamestop, and has to wait until the second shipment (which he now thinks will be a matter of days, rather than a matter of weeks.)

Me? I didn't want one personally, just doesn't seem that appealing for $400 plus sales tax plus $60 a game, etc.

Around midnight though I discovered the EV-DO software for my Blackberry 7250 from Verizon, so that was my surprise for today! I was so excited, like someone on Blackberry forums said "I feel like a kid on Christmas again." Granted, I wouldn't know what that's like, but I was so excited and impatient as it downloaded the 115MB Desktop Software and 32MB Mobile Software, then installed it all! 25 minutes on the phone this morning (most of it while on the bus) and I had my account provisioned correctly for 1XEV.

Heh, I was one of the smart ones who pre-ordered a few months ago. Unfortunately my foresight wasn't all that great as I see XB360 premiums going for $1500+ on eBay right now. I am so torn, do I play my Perfect Dark Zero or do I sell???

Ironically, I faced this exact same dilemma at the PS2 launch... only then I would have definitely sold it because the launch titles were horrendous :x

Target in New York somewhere:

Target called the cops on the guys in the line, my friend was number 4. They told them all to come back at 6AM when they started handing out tickets... my friend didn't get one. :(
