A bit dirty at the moment...just had ~400 rounds through it :)

I still like my Glocks better...but hey.

Nice! I have a P95 9mm and also had a P94. Rugers are inexpensive but good weapons. I've never had any issues with them. I have two of their revolvers, the GP100 in 4 inch and the SP101, both 357s and both great. I too have several glocks and yes, I like them too. The G30 and the G23, both are excellent. At work I carried the G17 but recently went to the H&K P2000. Not a bad weapon but the trigger pull is a bit long just like the Rugers. The Glock's pull is short and sweet.

I read an article in one of the gun mags that said that the Army was going to issue the P95 Ruger to the troops as a side arm. Don't know if it ever went through.

MonsterMan, enjoy your new toy. Cheers!

Damn, you guys are a bad influence :D . These topics should come with a warning label for us old junkies.

Congrats on the new Ruger. Never owned one but it's suppose to be a fun shooter.

The safety looks like it has a low profile, is it difficult to operate when your in a shooting stance?

Yeah, there safties suck. Gotta push it UP...WTF? A pain for those used to 1911's.

I wish I had the decock-only model...but I didn't want to wait.

Anyway, the DA trigger pull is heavy, so one could just ignore the safety altogether (ie, treat it like the decock-only version)...
