Hi,

I'd like to find a Cell Phone website that would be to cell phones like tomshardware.com or anandtech.com would be to computers.

One that has tons of in house cell phone reviews and some well experienced perspectives on who-who in the Cell Phone manufacturers such as who's pretenders and who's for real.

If you know of a good site please leave me a note here and thanks very much in advance,

best regards,
Rich

The only cell phone reviews I've seen was at ocworkbench.com.. and those were phones for the asian market. Most won't show up in the US for a few YEARS yet. #-o

HEY Thanks very much, I'll go look tonight at work.

A guy at work gave me a number to a guy that works at T-Mobile, I may try to get a Nokia 6103 through him with prepay pay as you go. If that can work and cheap.

My friend at work was going to get the Razr V3 but this guy told him they had problems with breaking when being opened and also the signal breaks up. This T-Mobile guy directed my co-worker to get the 6103 and he seems really happy with it.

I'll check out those sites tonight.
Thanks again, Rich

Those two sites:

http://www.phonescoop.com
and
http://www.howardforums.com

were really great. I saw a review on a Nokia 6126 that was pretty cool. It even opened like Captain Kirk's communicator.

That Nokia 6103 I was considering seems to have problems with the ear piece supplying sound that is not loud enough.

With all the terrific phones just on the horizon I may wait until Christmas and that will give me more time to read phone reviews.

That is unless, as I call it, the "AMOK" time begins. That is when I've got a new toy in my sights and all reason goes right out the window. AMOK is from Star Trek, = Spok's breading cycle.

AMOK! AMOK!

Laterz, and thanks again for the cool links.

www.howardforums.com is great. I've been active there for 2 years now, in the Rogers forums & Motorola forums.

They gets lots of private dealers in there as well. That's where I got my $99 SLVR on a 3 year term for $18/month with everything incl. full voice mail etc.

I can vouch for HowardForums, it's a great place for cell phone discussion. I post mainly in the Verizon Wireless section.

For Blackberry stuff: http://www.blackberryforums.com

www.mobile-review.com -> Excellent site + forums. In Russian, but there is an English version of the site available as well. Nice hi-res photos of all the phones reviewed..

Wow! Super, thanks for all the replys. I'll check out the links when I get back to my full time job on Friday night. Today I called a number a co-worker gave me to someone at the local T-Mobile store and I went right over and bought the Nokia I'd been favoring.

I got a Nokia 6103 on a pre-paid plan. I rarely use the thing for phone calls, instead I'm into the personal organizing features. The phone was $169 (170) and the starter kit was $50 bucks. For the past year everyone there told me the kit came with 60 minutes of time which I figured was not much of a difference.

It turned out to come with 150 minutes of time and good for 60 days.

The phone is cool with great features.

Well I gotta eat and crash before I go to sleep on my keyboard here.

Thanks again,
Rich
