SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1 will wrap up its 10-year run this spring, but that's not the end of the saga. Executive producer Brad Wright told TV Guide that MGM has granted a green light, and enough money, to produce two movies, most likely for DVD.

The first film will tie up most of the finale's loose threads. "It's the climax of the Ori storyline," Wright said, and will be written and directed by executive producer Robert Cooper. The second film, written by Wright, will involve time travel, and both projects should debut in the fall of 2007.

Season 10 just started playing on Space in Canada. They just had episode 6 which was the 200th episode. So, I have about 14 or 16 episodes left to see for the season. It should be finished by around the end of March 2007. I knew a few months ago that season 10 would be their last and they are going to make 2 movies straight to DVD. That doesn't brother me since I have bought all of the Stargates on DVD.

I have also just started watching Stargate: Atlantis season 3 (I'm about 3 episodes into that). I have no idea why Atlantis season 2 hasn't come out on DVD yet. It should have been out months ago when Stargate SG-1 season 9 came out. :(
