I'm 2 hours East of Detroit, in Ontario Canada.

These pictures were take between 8am -10am on a Motorola SLVR camera phone.

We woke up to nearly 3' of snow overnight.

Nearly everything is shut down. Schools closed, bus service cancelled, stores & roads closed. I only encountered 1 car in the ditch on the way in, and it looked like it tried to pass the plows. #-o

My commute in to work was 2x longer than normal and I still got caught behind the 8 plow convoy.

Gee I miss that stuff!

I've been living in Frankfurt for the past 32 years and we get noticeable amounts of snow like once every 10 years.

Nobody here appreciates snow - it's just a nuisance unless at a ski-resort.

That's called Lake Effect snow.

The wind was blowing across the Great Lakes at just the right angle to dump on London all night.

I live 30 minutes to the East and I could still see my lawn @ 05:45am. I had no indication I was in for a drive from Hell this morning.

I am SO glad I bought that used Toro snowblower this summer. Only had to use it twice, but it starts by the 2nd pull, and cuts the time in half.

of course, my friends rib me about saying that for my short driveway, I didn't really need one. I've since changed my mind. :)
