Here's a case of fact being better than fiction. The wife and I were watching Clerks 2 today and one of the characters, Elias, states Ian's signature: "God created man, man created transformers, so transformers are like a gift from God". I blurted out, "That's where he got it from!?, meaning Ian's signature statement. The wife was confused so I explained it to her, and her immediate reply was, "Boy, he must be some nerd". Laughing my a** off I drug her back to my office to show her Ian's avatar.

I'm laughing now just thinking about it.

Some things just cannot be adequately explained to a wife or girlfriend.

In the world of computers, Transformers, Jedi warriors or whatever.. girlfriends just don't understand. When I start talking about computers, my girlfriend’s eyes glaze over and she blacks out for a few minutes.

Maybe I should come up with some kind of 'computer speak' to 'girlfriend speak' translator...

For instance:
"I just bought a new motherboard, Core duo processor, 2 Gb DDR2 ram, and a 7600gt video card"

Girlfriend Translation: "Your hair looks great today baby"

lol.. I'm watching Clerks II on DVD right now.
