The trailer for The Dark Knight is now available in HD.

This movie looks really badass. Who would have thought that Heath Ledger would be a good Joker?

That's Heath Ledger?!?! :o It looks nothing like him! Good on him though, he has The Joker's voice inflection down and everything. Hox should be happy about this movie since I believe he said Heath Ledger is dreamy. :)

Ledger has impressed me recently. I thought he was quite good in "Lords of Dogtown", he had a bit of a Val Kilmer impersonation going on  . Haven't seen Brokeback yet, but if I remember right he was nominated for an award or two for it.

Ditto.

Christian Bale pleasantly surprised me in Batman Begins. Enough so that I believe Heath Ledger has what it takes to surprise me in this one. He's gained a lot more depth since his early work; I don't think he's still the boy toy the industry tried to make out of him, and that's a good thing.

Anyone going to see The Dark Knight tonight at midnight? I'm not! But I definitely want to see it as soon as I can. I'm going on a trip to San Diego for the weekend, so I probably won't be able to check this out until next week.

In other news, The Dark Knight initial show is selling out across the country.

Many are expecting it to be the highest grossing film of the summer.

I saw it this morning. It was packed at 10am. Ledger is as good as everyone says. Its almost like the movie is about him, rather than Batman.

Once you see Two-face, you'll see why he wasn't in any of the trailers. He's one nasty looking dude.

Anyone else notice that you never see the face of Gordon's daughter? I'm guessing they're keeping the role open for Batgirl.

Saw it tonight... Good flick. Ledger was outstanding. Theater was quite crowded for a mid-week showing. Think this Batman franchise is the real deal and have hopes for the next one.

I gotta see this this week. What with riding my bicycle across Iowa (my idea of a vacation :)), and work since, I haven't had a chance.

I did finally get to see Iron Man just before vacation. My wife actually enjoyed it almost as much as I did, which was a surprise. We both saw Wall-E as well, and thought it was one of Pixar's best. She doesn't want to see this one (and I understand why, it isn't her thing) so I get to go it alone.

I am really looking forward to seeing this!
I'll be on vacation next week, so I might check it out in IMax (if the showings aren't sold out)

Just went and saw it last night. If at all possible, see it in IMAX. It totally and completely rocked to see the Gotham cityscape at five stories tall. It was breathtaking.

Heath Ledger was nothing short of brilliant, and Christian Bale did an excellent job. As usual, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman put on great supporting performances. Even during scenes of intense action, the movie never stopped having a plot and a storyline. This movie was absolutely worth the ticket price.
