Elizabeth Beeland was shopping at the Daytona Beach store and was getting ready to check out when she got a cell phone call. According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, the call regarded upsetting news about her child. However, while she was checking out, the credit card she tried to use came up as stolen.

The cashier did not want to let her get away, and got the attention of a police officer who happened to be in the store. The officer confronted Beeland and brought her back in the store.

When the officer tried to talk with Beeland she began yelling and resisting her questions. The officer then threatened to arrest her if she didn't calm down, but Beeland kept arguing.

The officer then decided to jolt her with a taser gun, and charged her with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. That's 50,000 volts of electricity that went to her stomach, causing her to keel over in pain.
