Nope. I'd rather buy the ORIGINAL episodes 4-6, not the modified ones that Lucas spewed out.
Anyone else think that Eps 1 & 2 sucked? 2 only slightly less. Too polished and set up for the big lines....I prefer the roughness of the original 3.
Perhaps lucas will get the new series right in Ep. III. hehe
But I digress. I did end up buying the original AT-AT walker, in its ROTJ box for my friend's birthday - his fav. vehicle.....ya can't beat old-school! *l*
Worth every penny, btw.
Posted: Fri Nov 15, 2002 5:14 pmGot mine this morning in UK. Far better than Episode 1, although the ending is pretty bad - it justs ends. Audio is great - has THX and all the usual Dolby (sounds great on my Sony DAV S500 home cinema). Its a 2 disc set - 1 for the film, 1 for special features - eg deleted scenes, trailers, interviews etc.
Posted: Mon Nov 18, 2002 1:44 amFinally got around to picking up a copy of Star Wars Episode II (Widescreen Edition) DVD on Saturday afternoon. Probably pop it into a DVD-ROM drive and watch it at the office during the work day.

Posted: Mon Nov 18, 2002 12:25 pmI think most of the older fans preferred 4-6. EP1 storyline, acting, and target viewer IQ seemed to be only slightly above that of Sesame Street. EP2 seemed a little more deep & more mature as well as tieing in with more EP4-6. Nice Death Star intro too.
