I believe there is life out there, but I'm not adamant about UFO's like all those crazy people who say "Verne, I saw a ca-ca-ca-reature in our backyard!" Think of it this way, we all know the universe is huge (huge being an understatement) and we know Earth is not the center of the universe. That said, it is very likely there is more life out there. Plus, there have been some theories of this, not from UFO's, but from radiowaves. Soon enough, definitely in this century, we'll be able to prove if life exists out there.

TheWizard would you want to meet the other life out there?

I believe the universe it to expansive to have no one else here but us. However, I believe that most species advanced enough to get here would not yet bother us. We have nothing to offer to them...

TheWizard you know what would be pretty cool ? If dinosaurs were on another planet still. I would who knows that could be one of the other living things out there. We may not know it yet but it could be way out there. But i am sure the chances of that are slim.

If you are talking about other organisms that don't have the ability to rationalize, like dinosaurs, then they may be closer than you think. When I was talking about other life, I was talking about creatures similar to humans, at least those that can rationalize. It's entirely possible that other organisms, which cannot rationalize, are in our very solar system.

TheWizard yeah i was talking about creatures like humans also! That was just something else i was thinking about. I mean who knows they could look like us as far as we know.

I share both of your thoughts that there must be something and someone else out there in the vastness of this universe. And I enjoy meeting and making friends with people from different countries in this world, so I imagine I would feel the same about extraterristrial life. On the other hand, I can't really imagine what cultural barriers we would have to break through. We on this planet have a hard enough time getting along with our next door neighbors, let alone beings from another star.

Still, I think it would be fascinating to be able to explore the cosmos. Perhaps that is a reward one receives in death?

cfitz well yeah you could say that but thats not the only thing its about. It is on the Scifi Channel. Each part is 2 hours each so 10 parts. It goes from like 1940 something to about now i believe about like a ufo story. Some parts are true i believe. It is pretty good.

It is a TV mini-series, still going on I believe. I think they even tacked on some famous author's name to the series like Stephen King; what he has to do with it, I don't know.

I haven't watched any parts of the series and I don't intend to. I don't know whether it is good or not, I just never became a fan of the Sci-Fi Channel. Give me a good game show on Game Show Network and I am satisfied.

Hey! We can have a futuristic Family Feud with an earthling family and an alien family! I'll watch it only if Ray Combs comes back from the dead and hosts it. I guess I would accept Richard Dawson as the host, provided he kisses all the female aliens...if only he could find their lips.

TheWizard how do you know aliens are male and female? They may be neither or something else.

This is true, alas I gave in to the science-fiction tales told in our culture. Lash me 1,000 times with a camel's hair so I never do it again!

Ever read about "The War of The Worlds?" by Orson Wells?

I'm talking about the radio play and the effect it had on America as it was broadcast.

http://www.war-of-the-worlds.org/Radio/

And you wonder why the US government would never admit to alien contact should it ever occur?

Of course alien contact would render most religions null and void. That would anger the majority of the world population. It would shake the south-eastern US like nothing it's seen before. Not to mention most of the other Christian nations.

True contact would probably be like the old b&w Twilight Zone episode: where aliens are selecting humans to visit their planet in huge numbers, only to be cooked. Of course the humans find this out too late.

Amazing...

I like the part where you can use electric fans to blow away any potential alien abductors with a puff of air. I'm surprised they left off the best way to detect and scare away potential alien abductors: surround your bed with inflated woopee cushions...

As far as I can tell, this person is serious. Unbelievable.
