My New Site!

I jsut thought I'd post about my new web site! So far it is just firmware, but it will expand. It is hosted on a 2GHz Pentium 4 machine, the one I use, as I can't afford a server and don't expect much traffic. It is hosted using IIS 5.0 although I plan on upgrading to IIS 6.0 in the near future, as it is on my Windows .NET 2003 CD. The site address is http://sonyps3man.serveftp.com.

It's a nice start. The site was very fast too!

Keep up the good work!

What ISP are you using that allows you to run a server? Do you have to pay extra? Also, since it is your own machine with your own good stuff on it, please make sure you've got IIS locked down and all patches applied. We don't want anyone hacking your good work! :)

I am using Bellsouth DSL. The password authentication is encrypted, and done by Windows, to protect myself. I have all the latest patches, as I ported IIS from Windows 2000 SP3.

Don't forget to run the IIS lockdown tool, too. And the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. You may already know all this, but just in case you don't...

Looking nice and fast, and ad free as well :D

You may want to fix the typo on this page where it says SS07 instead of 6S07

Get some more firmwares on there! you can take the ones from my site if you'd like. And don't forget to add that to your profile so people can clikc on the www link below your posts to get to your page.

Just a little note that you might want to add, 5YSA for the CRX175A1 is unofficial. And I don't care if people host the files from my site themselves, but I would mind if someone linked to them without permission from me. (You have permission)

Okay, I updated the information on the CRX-175A1 page!
