Alright everyone, I want to know how are the gas prices like around your area. I just got back from filling up my mom's car and boy were unleaded gas prices High!
The car I usually drive requires diesel, so I never pay too much attention to the price of unleaded.

Union 76
Regular Unleaded (87 Octane): $1.93 per/gal
Mid-Grade Unleaded (89 Octane): $2.03 per/gal
Premium Unleaded (92 Octane): $2.13 per/gal
Diesel: $1.91 per/gal

I think southern California has the highest gas prices around the U.S.

How about 1.18 Euro per liter (super), diesel is 0.94. 80% taxes. Guaranteed to go up (at least) every Jan. 1 due to taxes  and whenever the gas comapnies can get away with it. 1 U.S. gallon is roughly 3.78 liter, 1 Euro $1.08. This is Germany...

WOW :o :o
That comes out to about $4.46 a gallon for Super Unleaded. I always knew Europe had high gas prices, but not that high. Makes me feel alittle better about living in the U.S.
Diesel fuel is supposed to be cheaper here too, but its been going up with the unleaded prices.

Still pretty low here in NJ

Solution: Don't drive or have someone else drive for you.

Is this practical in an American society? No.

No, but we could do without the 12-mpg SUV behemoths. :( Just because we are American doesn't mean we need to waste profligately. I love how the celebrities protesting "no war of oil" drive hulking Escalades, Hummers, etc.

Here in Atlanta, the prices are 1.45/1.55/1.65. I thought that was bad, but at the same time...having lived in California, I'm not surprised with Bs prices. I remember several years ago driving from Lake Tahoe to San Diego...Premium was 2.50 someone along the way. I feel for ya, B! :o
