Hey Guys,

I enjoy this site a lot, but wonder what's the primary difference between this site and cdrinfo / cdfreaks?

Are there any other good CD / DVD sites you guys visit?

Thanks...

Well for one we're American and we don't pretend our native language is English.

Whats the diff between Anandtech, HardOCP and other websites like that?

I was going to leave this one alone, but since Ian has responded, here is my quick take:

CDRLabs - you know what we are about because you are here, but I would probably say CDRLabs emphasizes helping out the ordinary user a bit more

CDFreaks - a good bunch of people, with probably more of an emphasis on the hacking enthusiast side (e.g. overclocking, breaking copy protection)

cdrinfo - I don't like the way these people take other people's work and present it as their own, failing to give credit where credit is due. (this is just my personal opinion as are all of my opinions, for that matter, since I'm not associated with CDRLabs other than being someone who posts here)

Indeed. Hang around the three sites and you'll notice things about each. Also notice which sites you find yourself returning to most often.

Thanks all. I appreciate the clarification.

As you can tell, I spend all of my time on this site, so I really don't know the other sites. And it shall remain that way 8)

While CDRLabs is always my first choice, one thing I've found helpful regarding CDFreaks is that given its European flavor, there is usually a little more discussion/information being shared regarding Plextor drives on their Plextor forum.
