A small problem with my LG 8521B - 52x cdrom

I'm having a little problem with my LG cd-rom. Under Windows Xp (Service Pack 1), when I insert a new data or audio cd in the drive, the system hangs for a few seconds until the cd is read. I can overrun this by disabling Autoplay from registry. But I want Autoplay!!! If i disable it i have to manually click on the cd drive in windows explorer so that my cd-rom could read the disc.
DMA is enabled, everything works perfectly, only that my system hangs 2 or 3 second when I insert a new cd in my lg drive. Please reply>>>
To be specified that under Windows 2000, my CD-ROM works perfectly and that my Plextor CD-rw works really cool.

My setting are:
PRIMARY MASTER: HDD WESTERN DIGITAL 20 GB 7200 RPM;
PRIMARY SLAVE: NONE;
SECONDARY MASTER: PLEXTOR 40/12/40A CD-RW
SECONDARY SLAVE: LG CD-ROM 8521B;

Don't cross post between forums. The same people read all of the forums for the most part so you're just creating excess threads.

This happens to me, too, with XP SP1. I have a Lite-ON LTR-32123S CD-RW with firmware XSOZ. I just ignore it because it hangs for such a short time.
