Flashing TEAC 32x!!!?

I was wondering if is it possible
to "overclock" a Teac 32x/532E-A/ Cdrom drive
firmware 3.0A and/or how I can update the firmware
to the /532E-B/ can this damage the drive in any way?
I want to do that cause the drive cannot read Cds
over 700mb
