Trouble with Australian 166s
Posted: Thu Mar 11, 2004 10:27 amHi, I want to buy a 166s after reading about it here in the forums, and have only recently found out that the S in 166S stands for Slot, right? well after going to all the computer and most of the electronic stores in Sydney today, I couldn't seem to find the 166 at all (unfortunately they don't seem to put the model number on the box 
as I was going home later I thought I would go back to one of the stores just to check again, this time asking the sales staff what model the drive was, he took it out of the box and showed me the number on top of the case, and sure enough it had 166S
Now the problem is it didn't have a slot, it had the normal draw setup instead, and the guy didn't seem to know why
I was just wondering if anyone would know why it didn't have the slot opening instead? and if anyone here is from Sydney and has seen this drive anywhere could you tell me where you saw it, as I am having trouble finding it (most are 163)

of course I like those "little" disks that might not go to well in a slot drive, I'll keep looking and reading I suppose,
