i thought this program takes out copy protection.
when i tried to encode a dvd to be copied later using dvd shrink,
about 63% almost finished, dvd shrink stops and i get this message

" dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

"copy protection error"

" the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

i am running windows xp, amd xp2000,512 mb, 40gb harddrive
what am i doing wrong because my brother has the same system but he is running windows me instead of window xp like me and his works fine

make sure you running the most current version of dvdshrink 3.1.7 i believe

other then that, update your firmware on your dvd-rom or whatever drive your trying to read it in

also if you want try using DVD Region+CSS Free: www.dvdidle.com

DVDShrink has problems with some DVD's so use DVDDecrypter to rip in File mode then in DVDShrink use "Open Files".
