Quicktime video to Video CD help required

Can anybody help me please?

I wish to create a video CD (or DVD) of Quicktime video files made with a Nikon Coolpix point & shoot camera. I want to send it to my parents & in-laws so they can play it on their TV's with their TV DVD players. Neither of them have computers.

I know very little about the subject & have not been able to work it out.

I did manage to create a video CD that would play on my computer using Nero 6. However, it would not play on my modern TV DVD player\recorders, Panasonic & Sony.

Looking forward to any responce, thanks.

Hello!

Try to convert the files with TMPG Enc (VCD, SVCD, DVD) or DVD Source creator. Free trial here:

Yes I did & burnt as a video CD. The resulting disc played on my PC but not on any of the 5 domestic DVD players I was able to try it on.

I have tried TPMG Enc software but get the same result.

Why is such a simple & obvious use of video from P & S cameras so difficult to achieve? I can't be the only person who wants to show the movies this way.

Just to let you know that Nero Vision Express works when converting Quicktime files to DVD so I can create discs to play on the TV. I still can't burn VCD's that play on my domestic DVD players.

With the low cost of blank DVD's it doesn't matter anyway. I just wish I had tried DVD's ages ago!

Thanks for every one's help.
