converting a dvd

hi
for some reason i movie that i have was captured in avi format..what is the correct format for a dvd movie?

Many DVD players support avi (DivX, Xvid, etc) but if you want it to work with any player, it will need to be converted.

When burning avi movies to DVD, I use ConvertXtoDVD from VSO Software. It automatically converts it and then will burn it to disc.

hi
ok it seemed to convert the file ok but i also have another film i want to add to the same dvd so 2 films on one dvd..i tried to use nero to do it and it saved it as a nero file then i tried to use that software u said and it wouldent work..

You can do that with ConvertXtoDVD too. You can even tell it to create a menu so you can pick which movie or just play one after another.

They also have a specific file and directory structure.
