I use ImgBurn pretty much exclusively these days. I've tried CDBurnerXP; it's free and has a Nero like interface, but ImgBurn is my favorite.

I want to replace Nero because is such a bloatware (even the unofficial Lite version), but it seems ImgBurn doesn't support multisession. I need a cd/dvd burning software (doesn't need to be free) which can be as good and easy as Nero Burning ROM. Any suggestions?

No Lenny, it does not... Not sure what you are trying to do with a wave editor... but have you tried Audacity? It's free/open source and works great for my needs.

I didn't go through a sound card when I ripped my LP's to wav's... I found the Griffin iMic to be a better choice for that... and I used Audacity. To heck with Nero and Roxio software.

Sound cards often produce a low-level hum... I found the iMic to be a better product for bringing in the sound than through a sound card.

Looking at your desire to record your old records to hard drive, I stumbled on something that may help you... You may be able to get a hacked version of an old program CoolEdit 2000 from here, as well as some tips. I once owned CoolEdit.... can't find the software anymore and my need has long past. Good luck Lenny... hope it helps.
