So, does anyone think that Blu-ray will adopt them?

If Blu-ray is already the winner (at least according to some dude at Forrester Research  ), why would they bother?

I wonder if Blue Ray Assoc. would have to pay Microsoft for using their iHD technology... Or is it royalty-free ? No wonder MS supported HDDVD - which is using iHD.

I think the odds are against Blue Ray adopting iHD (they probably already discussed it before, in talks with Toshiba). Further, trying to add new features to the BR standard at this point would probably delay the launch date even more, which they probably can't afford.

But if they did adopt it (as well as Managed Copy), then it would make Blue Ray so much more competitive with HDDVD - Microsoft would have fewer arguments against BlueRay.

Again, I wonder if MS is benefiting financially from somebody adopting iHD.

Yeah, I believe they're using Java instead.
