While I've seen a few isolated reports of Panasonic's Blu-ray writers being available in Japan and the US, they seem be out in force now. Buffalo, I-O Data and Panasonic themselves started shipping the drives on the 10th.

Talk about an expensive pile of drives. Almost $15,000 worth in this picture alone.

Yup, my workplace can now order Pioneer BDR/RE drives through distribution, along with the media.
