TDK Exhibits 6x BD-R And 100GB BD-R Media @ EXPO

According to AV Watch, TDK was showing off 6x BD-R and 4 layer, 100GB media at the Data Storage EXPO in Toyko.

The sample of the BD-R disk corresponding to six-X speed record was exhibited in the TDK booth of data storage EXPO besides the BD-R disk in four similar layers/100GB had been exhibited as a technological of BD-R disk exhibition last year.

In Blu-ray Disc Association, though it is a stage where standardization of BD-R of four-X speed record doesn't end「If the device appears and the standard is bright with settle on, the product can put it out even at once. I want to put four-X speed BD-R disk on the market within 2006 though it is a situation of the time of the decision. 」It made, and the standard of four-X speed disk within the year suggested the possibility of settling on.

I'd hate to burn the 100GB disc at 1x. :/

Yeah, even at 2x it would take like 160 minutes to burn an entire disc.
