TDK Unveils 8cm BD-R/RE Media @ CEATEC

Lots of BD-R/RE media on exhibit at CEATEC 2006. PC Watch doesn't have a lot of info on it, but TDK had 8cm media on display.

They should be ~7.5GB per layer

Those would be pretty awesome for camcorders, even if you're not recording HD video.

I see a hard drive boot image saved on one and stuck in a shirt pocket
