Yup, I bit the bullet and finally purchased my PS3 60GB unit today... I've been waiting to get one since launch day, and it's finally here and set up in my front room, to my 46" Sharp LCD TV. And let me tell you it does *NOT* disappoint!! Well, for movies at least :P

I watched A Knights Tale, and was very happy with it. But I'm looking much more forward to watching The Prestige and Ice Age 2 later on this coming week.

This also means I'm quite ready to begin testing Blu-Ray recording devices... (hint hint Ian...) :P

What kind of cables/interconnects come with it Dolph? What I'm particularily interested in is component video and either coaxial or toslink digital audio out. For me to buy one it'll have to be capable of 1080i out through component, either with a supplied or third party cable.

Just standard AV cables come with it unfortunately... the same set that comes with a PS1 and/or PS2. I connected it via my HDMI cable though.

One thing I'm not happy about though is the sound volume, it's very low. I have to crank it up pretty high to be able to enjoy the movies I watch on it. The Wii on the other hand is on the opposite end of the scale, being much louder then my analogue TV signal. It's quite annoying to switch between the 3 of them actually!
