Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the BDR-206 and the BDR-206 DBK?
Unfortunately the pioneer webpage has no specification for the 206 just for the 206DBK and 206MBK.
Can anyone provide me with some info?

The BDR-206 and BDR-206BDK are the same drive.

For the record, the BK at the end just means "BlacK".

Thanks, I wonder why one is cheaper if they are the same.
Does anyone know a review about the 206(not MBK)?

I'm not really sure why there's a price difference. Maybe one comes with software?

I couldn't find any decent reviews of the BDR-206. There were actually more MBK reviews out there for some reason.

Anyway, here are some benchmarks. It's in Japanese but there are tons of screenshots.

I now had the drive for a while and so far I'm satisfied, but there are 2 things that I find strange:
1. The drive seems to take while to speed up to full speed when copying a disk onto the hard drive, is that normal?
2. I tried Nero Drive Speed to see how far I can slow the drive down but there is no lower setting possible, can't the drive be slowed down?

How long are we talking about? A few seconds?

Indeed just maybe 5 seconds, that is not much but I have the feeling that my old drive almost instantly speed up so I wonder if this is a typical behavior of the drive or if something is wrong.
