Yes, I´m not very pleased about the results of the LG GH-20, my own results looks better

Strange thing also is the DL from TY, never used it, like 99,9% of german users

The prices of DVD-writers are down, maybe c´t don´t wanna make much work and test only a few media

The last issue of c’t mag (Nr 7/2009) has a test of 6 slim line DVD burners
that can be used on a notebook only connected through USB:

I took a look at the test, I remember best in wrting Quality CD/DVD/DVD DL is LG with ++/+/o
2nd is the Plextor with +/+/o

Worst is a Samsung with --/--/- (not sure the DL-result)

Do they say anything about the reliability of the power supply through USB ?

In my case I'm using an external USB charger to provide power, instead of using 2 USB ports.
