I have to sell one of them,so which one should i keep
1. NEC 2500A or
2. BENQ 800A
I only use DVD+R'S so the DVD-R is not a factor.
i must sell one them and keep the other.

Well here's what options you have:
(1) Upgrade the BenQ DW800A to a DW822A and on 9/30 you can add DVD+9 DL support for free from BenQ.
(2) Upgrade the 2500A to a 2510A via hacked firmware to add DVD+9 DL support (unsupported by NEC).

Your option NOW !!!

i really don't think that i will use DL support because i am not paying 15.00 per disk, so DL support is not a factore either

keep the benq cause its a better reader aswell and burns +r nicely. also when dl media becomes cheaper and you choose to use it, then you have the fw upgrade option.

upgrading the dw800a to a dw822a is not supported by Benq

I would do some tests with +r media and see which one burns better. Then choose to keep that one.

what he is refering to is using stock firmware as opposed to hacked firmware from herrie. you can use stock nec on 2510 but nec stock does not support bitsetting on +R/rw media.

tests have already been done and both do well with various media. the benq has advantage as it can bitset and is a better reader than the nec.
at lease IMHO I see bitseting as a plus. but if you do not need the nec as a reader and/or do not mind using hacked firmware or hp firmware for bitsetting then nec is for you.

I would keep the Benq because it is a better reader.
