I saw that Staples has a 50 pack of HP 8x dvd+r media on sale this week. Does anyone know who makes it and what the media id code is?

I checked videohelp database and it didn't show anything.

Thank you :D

Made by CMC and should carry a CMC code, but it might have an MCC code.

Anyone done any testing with HP 8x DVD+R media yet? The price seems to be good (Cdn. $45 for 50 pack), but how's the quality???

I have used the HP DVD+R 4x media. It is CMC. The quality appears to be adequate. I bought it mainly for price considerations.

There was a news release here in India a week or so ago, where Moser Baer announced that they are going to make DVD+/-R media for HP. Only for the Asia-Pacific market though, so I doubt any of you Yanks will see them.

Picked up some of these at Staples for $35/50. It's CMC-E01 and burns quite well at 8x.
